I’m a dad, husband, longtime professional cook, and the founder of Growing Minds Kitchen.
After years of cooking professionally, becoming a dad changed the way I thought about feeding a family. Dinner wasn’t only about making good food anymore—it was about time, planning, family, and making everyday life a little easier.
I created Growing Minds Kitchen to help parents spend less time figuring out what to make, what to buy, and how to get dinner on the table—and more time enjoying their families.
I spent more than 14 years working in professional kitchens, from prep and order cooking to dinner service and eventually working as a lead. Those years taught me how much planning, preparation, organization, and teamwork go into getting good food on the table consistently. That experience became the foundation I now bring into my own family kitchen and Growing Minds Kitchen.
Food safety and allergy awareness were an important part of my professional kitchen experience. As a lead, I completed company-required food-safety and allergy training regularly—some annually and some every six months—and kept up with changing procedures and guidance. Over the years, I helped many guests and families, including children with food allergies, make informed meal choices with greater care.
Becoming a dad changed the way I looked at feeding a family. I realized that parents aren't just trying to cook good food—they're juggling planning, shopping, prep, picky eaters, different preferences, busy schedules, and everything else family life brings. Growing Minds Kitchen grew from my desire to use what I've learned in professional kitchens and at home to make that daily job a little easier for other families.
Growing Minds Kitchen is about more than recipes. I want to help take some of the thinking out of family meals—what to make, what to buy, what you can prep ahead, and how to make dinner work for the whole family.
If that means a little less stress around dinner and a little more time together at the table, then Growing Minds Kitchen is doing what I created it to do.
